Hi there. It had been nearly a month since my last entry. Am busy at work....well, busy trying to adapt to the new place, new culture and new job scope. If you ask me how much I like it? Honestly, it's not really my dream job. On the plus side, the free breakfast and free lunches are keeping my mouth shut for the moment.
Met up with my ex-colleagues-turn-friends last night. Miss them so much and we obviously had a blast. Have the urge to move 'backwards' (my former boss ask me to go back and work for him, of course with an increase in salary). Former colleagues encourage me to do that too. Despite how tempting it is, I will not go back. Love the place, heart the people but what is past is past. Still miss them (and the culture) loads.
All that aside, lets check out what happened to me in the month of June :
Went south to Ipoh, Perak in Malaysia to celebrate my maternal grandmother's birthday. Had lunch at a seafood restaurant. However, my family went for the chinese 8-course meal instead of the sea creatures. They are so big and cute, how can people actually kill and eat them?
Then there was the dumpling festival. With the hiking price of everything from daily necessities to food to petrol and everything, granny decided to make her own dumplings. Actually, she makes the dumplings every year. This year she has an assistant. (Nope, not me. I am the photographer).....
....It's Becky although she is of not much help.
In case you are interested, below are a few simple steps to make your own dumplings :
Mum bought Becky a bed, and I really mean a real bed. Pets are so lucky nowadays.
